What We Do

We have a hot special every day, a couple of salads, and superb sandwiches made on our own bread. We always offer at least one home-made soup, and our freshly made quiche ('The best quiche in London' Time Out) changes every day. Plus superb cakes, tarts and puddings - all made on site by our chefs, all delicious. We also have a zippy new juicing machine that can produce fragrant Valencia orange juice in a minute. Come and watch it work, and better still, try the juice!

Our menu changes every day but this is roughly how it goes:

7.30am -10.30 am Breakfast
Enjoy fantastic freshly ground coffee from Illy, toasted oat porridge with maple syrup and cream, home made Bircher muesli with apples and honey, great croissants and pain au chocolat from Flour Power.

11.30am - 2.30pm Lunch
Time for homemade quiches, salads, soup and a hot dish of the day – and make sure you leave room for homemade pudding. The City lives by clockwork and we can get quite crowded between 12.30 and 1.30 - so if you don't live by the clock, we're a little more peaceful outside those times. If you eat in between 11.30 and Noon, all main courses cost £2 less. If you haven't got time to eat in, all our food is available to take away.

2.30pm – 3.00pm Late lunch, coffee, cakes and sandwiches
As our lunch counter closes, the espresso and sandwich counter gears up for an afternoon of Valrhona chocolate brownies, apple and honey flapjacks (the squidgy kind), toasted sandwiches made with The Place Below bread and great coffee and organic teas.
